Our Staff
At Sylvan Funerals we are Family Owned & Operated and we are proud to be able to guide, support and care for families during an important and difficult time in their lives.
Our aim is to help with every aspect of a funeral, relieving some of the burden from our families. We strive to make the organisation of the funeral as smooth as possible therefore giving our families a chance, not just to say goodbye, but to celebrate and honour their loved ones life in the most fitting way possible.
Although a small company, we are passionate and caring, family minded people, led by Husband and Wife team, Vic & Gaylene Salomon. Learn a little about our staff below:
With over a decade of service to the community, Husband and Wife – Vic & Gaylene have continued to improve the services that Sylvan Funerals offers to families. They have three children: Peter, Ramon and Cassidy. Gaylene is our in-house funeral celebrant, conducting funeral services, while Vic tends to families loved ones whom we care for.
After working closely with Gaylene for many years, Ramon Salomon (son of Vic & Gaylene) is the second generation leading Sylvan Funerals into the future. Ramon brings a solid background in Graphic Design studies together with an understanding of the needs of families as they prepare to farewell a loved one.
We offer a complete in-house design service for Orders of Service booklets, Photo Slideshow DVD’s, Video editing and service recording. Cassidy brings her natural flair in all things creative and works closely with Ramon in the production of the in-house design services selected by families.
Jo-Anne joined our family business in 2010 after having known Vic & Gaylene for over 15 years. She has been a lifetime resident of Ipswich and brings a wealth of knowledge to our business.
Helen is a younger sister to Gaylene and is married to Greg Craik. She has been a resident of Ipswich all her life, being part of the Heck family.
